Running and Traveling
Wow, can’t believe after this CRAZY weekend that I am going to Croatia. Today.
I am leaving my puppy in the care of some amazing friends so I am not too worried but there will most-likely be some serious alcohol going through my veins on the airplane to calm myself down after dealing with this puppy emergency.
I’ve only done 4 miles since my 8 miler on Friday. I am a little worried but they have recently updated their gym at the hotel I’m staying at in Dubrovnik so I should be great. I’ve already mapped my runs out training wise and will be swimming in the ocean for my cross-training so that isn’t too bad!
I’ve decided for every run that I do over 5 miles in Croatia I get a big gelato. This, I believe will be the motivation that I need! I always come back from this trip fit from climbing the stairs and all of the fresh food so I am very excited.
I do need to “just let go” when it comes to Fiona the puppy however. I am still worried about her and need to take a pause and enjoy this trip. My friend Sasha has known her forever, and our dogs our essentially in love so she is in good hands!
I’ll update from Croatia! Running overseas! This will be a first!
